History

In 1964 at the very beginning, Jerry & Mary McGlynn had a vision of owning a small in rural Ontario. With a mixture of determination and perseverance, their vision was recognized and developed into a fully functional mill located north of Wingham. With great pride in 1983, they transferred the growing business to the eldest of 10 children, their son Bernie McGlynn. By 1999, the business had gained momentum and was in need of expansion. He then acquired our current location on Highway 9 between Mildmay & Walkerton. The business has been developed and maintained with family values in mind.

In 2004, South Bruce Flooring was opened as a retail outlet. We are a place where consumers are able to purchase solid wood building materials at factory prices. We carry everything from rough-cut lumber, prefinished hardwood floors, hardwood moulding, trim, stair systems & components parts. Bernie McGlynn Lumber has come full circle from renewable natural resources to a finished product. Quality and care from start to finish.
